Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast App Reviews

Great game. Great troubleshooting by developer.

This game is fun (if not crazy hard without cheats) but I ran into some resolution issues on my new macbook. I contacted the developers, not thinking Id get much of a response, but they held my hand through the process and got it working properly without much hassle. Its really nice to know that even for a game thats 10+ years old you can still get troubleshooting advice!

Great game

Great game my favorite star wars game series first game a bit better still definitly worth the buy 5/5. one of the few star wars games that corectly capture what it would be like to be a jedi love it.

Very Nice

A very good Star Wars game. No complaints. Works well, nice and quick too load and is fun on any dificulty.

Great

This version runs very smoothly and the game has a very sleek feeling. I haven’t encountered any bugs or issues. I recommend you get this game.

Works like a charm

Very good game. It works at maximum available detail available at full hd displays on my late 2008 mbp. Cinematics should be skippable. Very hard on Master Jedi level.

save game

where i can find save games on my lap top for this game??? i need to move to another one lap top!!!

Great!

One of my favorite pc games is on mac now! Excellent!

Fun game

So I got this game mainly to mod and do the multiplayer, the reason is because when I saw the multiplayer on some of the reviews I was like wow this is the most accurate star wars game that I have ever seen before. Then I started to go into the story mode, I was actually very good. FYI this story mode isnt considered canon anymore and we all know why that is. Anyway to the best part mods, I understand many people get confused about this one becuase it is not the easiest thing to figure out. Library-ApplicationSupport-Base. Alot of people are going to say gamedata, that is basically the folder before Base. I am saying this because I was confused when I was reading online everyone said base folder. I thought that you had to leave it in the base folder but it turns out that you have to leave it next to the base folder. Hopefully this can help people. I have no software problems with this game.

Makes You Feel Like a Jedi

This game is extremely satisfying, yet extremely hard. The game is almost impossible to beat without using the many cheat codes for it, but is still fun none the less. It successfully makes you feel like a Jedi Knight through the use of your lightsaber and the Force powers the game grants you access to. It can also be played in first or third person while either wielding your lightsaber or one of the many blaster rifles. However, the story is a bit lacking, and the main villain is a little lame, but it makes up for this with the gameplay. Jedi Outcast is primarily a shooter game, but does include some puzzles for players to figure out. Overall the game is appropriately priced, has excellent controls, but the story is rather simple and bland.

Launches but won’t start new game

Just downloaded to my 1 year old iMac running 10.11.6 and the game launches but when it comes time to start a new game nothing happens when I click on the level of game I’d like to start at. Maybe it’s the big weird lightsaber cursor that’s messing it up. But no luck with Apple or Aspyer tech support, and I see little chance of getting a refund on downloaded software from the Apple Store. It’s like they are saying, "come buy this great software, and if it doesn’t work though you meet the system requirements, then f-you.” How can we trust this store?

Loved this game!

Had my doubts, but this game was great! Purchased for $6 instead of the $14.99 which was a steal. Highly recommend if you love SW.

Love this game!

I had this for Gamecube. Me and my older brother used to play the multiplayer all the time. When I heard it was on the app store with online multiplayer, I knew I had to get it. Does anyone know if you can use a USB controller to play the game?

One Glitch that is fixable, pay attention

I have heard a lot about glitches on the first level of this game. I had one as well. After blasting the door open with the turret, I went onto the error and it would crash. Same thing would happen if i tried to save. I emailed customer support and they got me on the right track, but didnt get me all the way there. They told me to set my screen resolution to 1024x768 in my system prefrences and then run the game. This didnt fix it. But dont lose hope! I found that on the main menu, you can click on setup, and change the game resolution there. This is what must be turned to 1024x768. I repeat DO NOT CHANGE RESOLUTION IN YOUR SYSTEM PREFRENCES! This will not change anything. You must do it in the in game settings. After fixing this, I have found the game to be amazing!

I cant play this!

Im having the same problem that other people have mentioned: on the first level, I took an Imperials keycard, but the "use" button just wont work. This means that I cant get any further in the game. I want to give this game a great review, but I cant until I can actually play it.

i want my money back

I want my money back, this game is doing nothing but crash and crash! every time i turn it on… listen here developer give me my money back….!!!!!

Cant pass first level

On the first level i cant go up the elevator, the card you take from the officer wont work and the elevator does not move, so im stuck and i wasted $14 please fix so i can play the game, someone help!

Major Flaws

Theyve made it way too easy to die. Every three minutes Im dying and then you have to watch the whole cenemtic beginning of each level without a means of skipping. Major flaws. Also, the controls are much harder on the keyboard then it would be with a controller. Meh. It was better on XBOX.

Dont buy this game unless it has a version higher than 1.0.4

there is one glitch that runins the whole game and it is at the first mission so all you can do is to play the game for 45 seconds and start all over again but after that glitch is fixed i belive that you will have of the best gaming experience made by the awesome story of the star wars saga!!

Classics never die!

I have seen a lot of people complaining about this game, but dont listen to them! I am running the game on the newest 27" iMac with Mountain Lion (bought in 2012) And it runs fine, with no problems. My use button works just fine, Im not stuck on level 1 as some people have claimed, the elevator works fine. the game runs smoothly. And for everyone complaining about how hard it is without controller support, or just the lack of conroller support. GET OVER IT! The game was released originally for the PC. The XBOX version was a port (and a lousy one at that, I know, because I have it) It was designed to be played with a keyboard and mouse. Honestly, kids these days are so spoiled hehe. I have been playing the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight franchise since back when Dark Forces was first realeased on the PC. It never felt right playing them on a console. 5 Stars, great game! Thank you Aspyr and Apple for releasing this!

Bug

Like many of the other users, I am unable to get past the first level. I cannot use the card key in the elevator. It is really making me mad. I would to play this game but i cant. Please fix this now!
